Welcome to the Snow Hill Elementary School website! Snow Hill Elementary School, a Professional Development School (PDS), is one of five elementary schools in the Worcester County Maryland School System and it serves close to 400 students. In 2004, SHES was named a Maryland Blue Ribbon School as well as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. 


Snow Hill Elementary is a Pre-K to 3rd Grade school that builds on the strengths, talents, and resources of students, educators, and community, and provides a safe and positive learning environment for all students.  All students are encouraged to develop emotionally, intellectually, socially, and physically.  Snow Hill Elementary offers a dynamic and continuously evolving curriculum that encourages the respect of individual differences and the development of life-long learning skills to promote success in an every changing society.

All SHES students are enthusiastic learners who will be college and career ready.


All teachers at Snow Hill Elementary School have a state certified teacher's license and have taken all exams required for their area of expertise.   At SHES, we have 19 classroom teachers, five special education teachers,  four special area teachers, a reading resource teacher, a science resource teacher, a curriculum resource teacher and a certified school guidance counselor.
