Snow Hill Elementary School

Third grade is the only state testing grade at SHES.  Students in 3rd Grade take the PARCC Assessment (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) in the Spring.  During the year, students focus on applying all their reading strategies to more difficult texts.  Students also study the history of Worcester County and visit the Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum located right here in Snow Hill.

There are five third grade classes at Snow Hill Elementary School.  Mr. Dalton Duncan, Mrs. Kimberly Lilly, Mrs. Nyoka Mumford, Ms. Kalie Spankle and Mrs. April Winterson are the classroom teachers in 3rd Grade.  Ms. Page Rogers is the special education/inclusion teacher.  In addition to their regular subjects, students also attend art, music, physical education, media, math lab and tech lab classes each week.
