About SHES

Our Teachers

Snow Hill Elementary School, a Professional Development School (PDS), is one of five elementary schools in the Worcester County Maryland School System that serves close to 400 students. In 2004, SHES was named a Maryland Blue Ribbon School as well as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Snow Hill Elementary is a Pre-K to 3rd Grade school that builds on the strengths, talents, and resources of students, educators, and community, and provides a safe and positive learning environment for all students.  All students are encouraged to develop emotionally, intellectually, socially, and physically.  Snow Hill Elementary offers a dynamic and continuously evolving curriculum that encourages the respect of individual differences and the development of life-long learning skills to promote success in an every changing society.

All teachers at Snow Hill Elementary School have a state certified teacher's license and have taken all exams required for their area of expertise. At SHES, we have 20 classroom teachers, 3 special education teachers, 4 special area teachers, a literacy coach, a math coach, a reading interventionist, a math interventionist, a curriculum resource teacher, and a certified school guidance counselor.
